Rebirth
Where do I start? How do I start? It's almost as though I'm starting completely new. But I'm not. In reality I'm picking up where I left off. Where did I leave off? I don't quite know. So let me attempt to start fresh. After all, this is a new beginning.
Welcome to the new face of NONA anime. Contrary to what some people may thing, I did not just wake up one morning and decide to revamp my website. No. That's not it at all. It took years.
In 2005 I was starting to grow up and take on more responsibility and was so overwhelmed that I could not maintain everything. Hobbies and interests got cast aside, and tragically NONA was one of them. I never truly let NONA die. I continued to pay the annual fees to keep her alive, because I knew in my heart that one day I would return and bring her back.
That day has finally come. In July I started working on a new layout when I was not at work, and as I moved into the city for college I ended up once again casting NONA aside. I still continued to watch anime as well as attend anime functions but a spot in my heart felt empty knowing that my girl, my creation, NONA, was no longer there with me.
After attending my last cosplay event with friends I knew that it was time to get off my tush and make sure that NONA was back on her feet. How appropriate that it is reading week and I have a few spaces in my schedule to work.
I am now older and wiser now. I can see things in an entirely different light than I did 9 years ago. I feel that I have grown so much and that I now have the ability to make NONA the best that I can make her, the way that I have always intended her to be.
You may notice some changes around the website;
Firstly some anime sections have been taken down. I have done this because they were poorly done in the first place and I cannot remember enough information about them to recreate them. Perhaps they will reappear later, but for now they are gone.As well, the information pages are still undergoing heavy construction. Tomoyo and I have been working hard to rewrite the information and add more to the sections so that we can continue to make NONA anime your first choice for anime information.There is also a new set of navigation on the top of the page under the new banner. These are there for easy access. Under the navigation you will realize that we have a new method of contacting us. The old messaging system has been taken down due to spam, but this method should work better.Finally the right sidebar has been reorganized a bit. There are no more topsites, as well as all of my old affiliates I have watched close down. Therefore we are now reaccepting new affiliates. There is also a new section called "sister sites" which link to other projects that I and other staff members have going at the moment.To wrap up this update I just want to point attention to the featured picture. It comes from one of my favourite video games, Resident Evil 4. I created this image quite a while ago, when I was starting the new layout, and feel that it speaks for NONA. I have saved her.
